Places

I have lived in Luxembourg since November 2011. Before that I lived in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, for four years. Click on either of the buttons below to read my posts on these two cities.

Luxembourg

I went to University at St Andrews and my Grandfather lives in the Scottish Highlands, so Scotland truly is one of my very favourite places in the whole world. If you want tips on a few places to visit check this post and this one, this one, oh and this one too.

My husband is from Denmark, so I have a few posts around here of places to visit there, mostly in Copenhagen and on the island of Bornholm: Aakirkeby’s church, the unique Round churches on Bornholm, Eat smoked herring in Gudhjem, lots of good places for Brunch.

I’ve also enjoyed some fantastic holidays! Here are a few posts from places I’ve visited…

We spent the summer of 2010 in Florida and California.
In Florida, you should absolutely go to Key West, the Everglades, Miami South Beach, and The Edison-Ford Winter Estate in Fort Myers.

In California, don’t miss: kayaking at La Jolla, San Francisco, Seaworld, wine tasting in Sonoma or in Santa Ynez (or both!), and Santa Barbara.

We spent four packed days in New York in September 2011, when I managed to tick off everything on my detailed plan despite being struck down with the flu!
Read what we fit in here, and here.

In November 2010, we spend six days in Marrakech, Morrocco. You can find my post on that trip here.

In July 2010, I was in Vienna for the International AIDS Conference. I did have a few moments in between working to explore the city

Our honeymoon in May 2010 was also in the USA. Then we visited The Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, went Canyoneering in Zion National Park.

In March 2009, I visited Bangladesh on a work trip. My time was mostly spent visiting NGOs that work with people with a disability and those affected by leprosy, rather than sight-seeing. But it is a beautiful country and a beautiful culture and I’d recommend visiting.
