Any holiday is a good excuse to bake, right?! So last night at about 10pm I made these shortbread from Mum’s recipe. My hands were far to warm so I had to stick the mix in the fridge for half an hour to make it stick together. And then I was paranoid I would burn them and kept checking the oven every minute.
This morning I got up a little early and melted the chocolate to dip them in. I’ve bought them to work with me where Diana, Richard and Clotilde have made fast work of them: nine little hearts are already gone – only one lonely heart is left on the plate. I might have to do my duty…
