friday favourites

A few of my current favourites…

Listening to Florence and the Machine

Watching Forbydelsen, or The Killing as anyone with BBC will know it is. This Danish crime series has me hooked, and pleading with great panic to watch another episode if the one we’re on finishes on too great a cliffhanger for my fragile emotional state to cope with…

Reading A Meal with Jesus by Tim Chester, when I’m in a thoughtful mood, and Mindy Kaling’s funny Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? when I need a laugh. A big amazon parcel arrived yesterday so now I have Love Wins and The Hunger Games to get to too. Just about six months after everyone else on the internet read them.

Eating sweet chilli pork tenderloin. I discovered the food blog Skinny Taste and pinned just about every recipe she’s blogged for the last three months. Everything looks so delicious!

Moments I am still enjoying the novelty of watching the sun rise every morning over the city roofs (rooves? hmm). The addition of snow on Monday made it even more wonderful.

Procrastination Watching clips of The Ellen Show for some comedy study breaks and then crying when I watched this one.

Luxembourg I am declaring Konrad’s carrot cake the best in the city. Not that I’ve had carrot cake anywhere else yet but I am so very certain that it could not be topped…

Video This Ted talk by Shawn Achor on happiness and productivity was funny and interesting. Now that’s a good talk.

Valentines idea Have you read my post from yesterday yet? Let’s take back Valentine’s Day from the fluffy hearts and make it something Father Valentine would be proud of – justice for the poor and dispossessed.

Any favourites of your own to recommend me this week? Have a brilliant weekend!
