This amazing print is from Sara Seal of Candy Coated Universe.
Yesterday, our new bookshelf finally arrived (three weeks longer than estimated delivery time) and the piles of books that were hiding humongous dust balls in the corner now have a new home where we can actually SEE them. We’ve already discovered books we forgot we had, which if you’re a bookworm like me is a little like meeting a long lost friend…
When I was younger, my mum used to send me up to tidy my room, which always looked like a bombshell had hit it (Rasmus has been slowly training me to be tidier but it’s not always successful). A few hours later she’d come up to check on progress and I’d be sitting on the floor in front of the bookshelf, surrounded by the same mess, engrossed in a book. “Tidying my room” had become “organising my books into alphabetical/genre/colour order” and then I had found one I loved and dangerously flipped it open, and two hours later, what was I supposed to be doing again??
With the arrival of the new bookshelf, a little clearing out had to happen. I have a small box of books to give away to whoever would like them. If you live nearby (Luxembourg, Belgium) we can arrange a handover point (bench in the park, I’ll be wearing a red carnation…)
If you’re further away but do really want one we need to strike a deal. Because postage is just plain crazy expensive here. But I’d be willing to brave the queue at the post office if you send me something in return – either a good book you’ve read or something equally lovely 🙂 Swapsies!
The list of books up for grabs is on this page. If you want one, either send me an email or leave a comment on this post or the facebook page and I’ll reserve it for you.
And while you’re here, any current reading recommendations?
