cinnamon and nutella cake

I know you have been missing my baking posts. There have been some good ones…

Reason is, I can’t find my camera. It is an old thing that I inherited from Ellie when she bought a shiny new one but I do miss it. I cannot for the life of me remember what I have done with it. My flat is too small for it to have hidden for this long so my conclusion is, it must be at home.

I don’t like blogging about my cooking adventures without a photo of the outcome. But I baked on Monday and so wanted to share it that I will just post the “official” photo, “borrowed” from the official website.

I repeat, the photo below is not mine. You would know if you were one of the lucky ones to get some of this cake on Tuesday, because I baked it in a loaf tin. And also I didn’t have any hazelnuts so left them off.

Wanna know what it is?

I warn you, you may start drooling uncontrollably.

And drooling over electrical objects like your computer keyboard can be dangerous.

Sure?

Ok, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Cinnamon and NUTELLA cake.

Yes indeed.

It was pretty good. A little heavy but there’s not much you can complain about when one of the main ingredients is nutella. (note to Jen: I know I know, you don’t like hazlenuts. You could just use regular chocolate spread instead).

I ate the last bit for my lunch after gobbling the leftovers of Marissa’s Chinese chicken stir-fry, also from Tuesday. Oh so good. Liesl has a bring-and-share dinner at her house every Tuesday night for anyone and their friend who wants to show up. We’ve had some bizarre collections of food, but last night was actually quite balanced, apart from the two chicken stir-fries.

The cake recipe is right here…
