It’s going to be a good week. I can feel it.
Life here is picking up speed. There is more to do, more people to meet, more to tick off the to do list. It’s good, this getting speeding up, because I don’t think I was built for slow. I love to be doing, to be going, to be working, to be meeting. It brings me energy.
But I know I will look back on these first few months here, when I had all the time in the world to do anything I wanted to, and wish I had a little more time for me.
Sometimes, there’s just no satisfying me!
And so as the world starts flashing by the window a little bit quicker again, I’m going to do my best to hang on to a little bit of slow, to pull off the motorway for half an hour each day and take the slow winding scenic route.
Because I love fast. I need fast. But my spirit needs slow too.
On Friday I was in Brussels for the day and got to have lunch with two of my favourite people and my absolute favourite Belgian baby… now THIS is good for my spirit 🙂
