had a five hour nap in the afternoon (apparently I was tired – Rasmus played golf)
watched the sunset from Fort Myers beach
had yummy fish tacos, coconut shrimp and cocktails on the rooftop terrace at The Beached Whale
Sunday
Cycled around the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island
went for a dip in the ocean at Tarpon Bay Beach to wash off the sweat and bugs from cycling
went out after dinner for ah.may.zing ice cream at The Love Boat
Monday
Went for a morning run (on a national holiday! please be impressed)
ate brunch at Mimi’s Cafe
read my book by the pool while Rasmus played golf again
drove downtown to see the festivities and watch the July 4th fireworks.
Not a bad way to spend our first ever 4th July holiday weekend…
