The last week is a bit of a blur already but it was a fun one…
I celebrated Summer Solstice with fresh flowers from the market, a barbecued pork fillet for dinner and an evening walk in the park with my man.
I welcomed my Brussels friend Marissa to Luxembourg and we drove to Vianden for the afternoon, visiting the castle and finally getting to go to the amazing Ancien Cinema cafe, which I only wish was closer to home so I could go every day.
I made a so-so lemon courgette cake and predictably-good buttermilk scones.
I went to a party to celebrate Luxembourg’s National Day, and then watched the fantastic fireworks over the Pont Adolphe, trying not to get ash in my eyes we were so close.
I spent the weekend at the Rock-a-Field festival, standing in a muddy field watching Snow Patrol, the Kooks, Biify Clyro and then finally, wonderfully, Mumford and Sons, who sang all the songs of my heart and made me happy to be alive. Even while standing soaking wet and freezing cold in a muddy windswept Luxembourgish field. No mean feat, let me tell you.
How has your week been?
