reading… Jesus Feminist by Sarah Bessey, In the Sanctuary of Women by Jan Richardson, and Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (all three highly recommended).
watching… Argo one weekend evening with Rasmus – tense and brilliant. Episodes of Suits and New Girl when I was sick for four days in a row. And SHERLOCK SEASON THREE. We figured out how to watch live, the first time I’ve watched something when it actually aired in years and years. And the time difference meant I stayed up way past my pregnant-bedtime. But oh so worth it…
writing… to our sponsored children at River of Life in Uganda and missing their bright smiles.
listening… to this, over and over. Complete with spontaneous bathroom/kitchen dance parties.
cooking… Lots of old favourites. And this apple cake, which is yummy.
feeling… our little one move for the first time and loving the sensation.
ordering… new sheets and pillow cases for our bed from The White Company – a little luxury for our bedroom. And twelve mirrors for our Serve the City beauty projects (came in five separate packages – the postman must have thought it was someone’s birthday!)
enjoying… the gorgeous winter sunshine this last week of January.
beginning… prenatal yoga. Our small class with a Canadian teacher is such a wonderful weekly appointment for me.
preparing… another Beauty Afternoon at a local women’s shelter with Serve the City. I can’t wait to pamper these wonderful women!
feeling… tired but contented. It’s been a super busy January but I got a lot done and there’s some fun things in the pipeline.
anticipating… lots of visitors and projects in February. It’s going to be a bit chaotic but I hope very worth the effort!
